STUDY IN Singapore

Singapore is a cosmopolitan city and a premiere destination for higher education available in world class educational institutions. Singapore is refreshingly different from other countries for study and abroad experience.

The system offers to students for study at any entry level either on completion of higher secondary i.e. GCE’O’ or on completion of graduate level.

Students may apply for entry to a junior college for a two year pre university course or centralized institute for a three year pre-university course. At the end of the course students sit for the GCE’A’ level. However foreign students can be accepted subject to availability of seats. Higher institutes and universities offer a wide range of courses for the graduates and post graduate levels. Such as MBA, Engineering, legal studies, IT, Nursing, Hospitality and Tourism, and Vocational studies. You can get degrees from globally recognized universities. Singapore offers a wide range of internship and placement opportunities..

Cost of education:

FEES :  Diploma      6months—2 years      S$5000—S$15000

Bachelors     2 years — 4 years     s$24000—s$50,000

P.G                1year — 1.5 years         s$18500==s$30,000

Living expenses vary between s$750—s$2000 per month depending on individual lifestyle and course of study.

However the living expenses are comparatively cheaper and affordable to Indian students.

Part time work and post study work opportunities:

Foreign students studying in private institutions are not permitted to work part time. Only students studying in government funded universities are allowed to work part time.

After completion of the course the students are allowed to stay for one month on social visit basis. Employment pass is required to work in Singapore. The employer applies for the same on behalf of the employee.

Documents required for applying to Singapore Universities/Institutes

  • Mark sheets of 10th and 12th standards or diploma course if any completed
  • Semester mark sheets of graduate studies (consolidated mark sheet in case graduation is completed)
  • Degree certificate or provisional degree certificate issued by the university
  • Post graduate mark sheet/degree certificate if applicable
  • Copy of passport (first and last pages)
  • Two reference letters out of which at least one should be from the academic institution
  • Statement of purpose in minimum 150 words
  • Academic portfolio in case of specific courses as may be needed by the university
  • IELTS certificate /TOEFL scorecard
  • All the above documents listed should be attested by notary/gazette officer.
  • A letter from the school/college stating that the medium of instruction has been in English.
